Bingo, the Friendly Elephant



MATERIALS NEEDED
DK Yarn in two colours + small amounts of white and black.3.00 mm crochet hook.
Yarn needle.
Polyester stuffing.
A pair of 6 mm safety eyes.
A stitch marker to mark the beginning of each round.
2 small buttons (optional)


ABBREVIATIONS USED
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
sl st = slip stitch

BLO = in back loops only
FO = fasten off

Work in rounds.
Gauge is not important for this project.

R2: inc x 4, ch 1, turn (8)
R3: (sc x 2, 6 dc in next) x 2, sc x 2 (don't turn) 
R4: Ch 1, 5 sc in magic ring.
Sl st into first st of R3.
FO leaving long tail for sewing. 
Sew ears to head between round 19 and 20.

BODY
Start with trousers colour.
R1: sc x 6 in magic ring (6)
R2: inc x 6 (12)
R3: (sc, inc) x 6 (18)
R4: (sc x 2, inc) x 6 (24)
R5: (sc x 3, inc) x 6 (30)

BRACES (2)
Ch 16.
R1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and across to the end of row. (15) Ch 1, turn
R2: Sc across (15)
FO leaving a long tail for sewing.
Sew to trousers and add buttons using photos as guide.
